JR HIGH DOCUMENTS - ALL 3 GRADES

Below is a list of documents that students from all grades may need. They are (in the following order):

Book Report Options

Option 1: Continue the book.
Write another chapter to continue the story. You can continue with what will happen to the characters right after the book finishes or later in their life. Make sure to reference what has happened previously in the book.

Option 2: Write a character analysis
Write a 5 paragraph essay about one of the main characters. You can write about the character's characteristic or attributes, justify what they did in the book, or your opinion on the characters actions throughout the book. Make sure to reference the plot in the book as you write. If you choose this option, please see me so we can make sure you are on the right track.

Option 3: Write a letter to the Author
Write a letter to the author expressing your opinions about the book. Each paragraph in the letter should address a different topic or idea dealing with the book. Remember reference the book characters, plot and themes as you write.

Option 4: Write a Diary
Pick a character from the book a write a minimum of 5 journal entries involving main events in the plot or their interactions with other characters.

Must be written in paragraph form and typed. 6th Grade 1 page, 7th Grade 1 1/2 pages in length, 8th Grade 2 pages in length.

First book report is due by November 3rd.
Second Book Report is due by February 4th
Third Book Report is due by April 29th

Each day a book report is late, 10 pts will be deducted from your grade.
